The fall season is almost here! Besides Christmas, it’s my favorite season to decorate for. Home decor at big box stores can be pricey, so why not make your own! Here I’ll show you how to make a pretty fall themed wall hanging using card stock and some of my favorite Tombow supplies.
Let’s get started!
What you’ll need:
Here I’m using black and pink/peach color tones. Feel free to use whatever colors match your decor.
Using a pencil and ruler create the pennant banner lines at the bottom. I measure half way, put a dot, and draw a line from each corner to the center. Then cut.
Using a pencil (My favorite is the Tombow MONO pencil) sketch your phrase. Here I’m using “hello fall”.
Now let’s add some pretty fall flowers!
Using a Tombow Dual Brush Pen (I’m using black here), letter your phrase.
Using the Tombow TwinTone Markers, color in the flowers. I used some pretty peachy tones here.
Using a Tombow MONO Eraser (my absolute favorite!), erase all your pencil lines.
The Tombow Drawing Pens are perfect for outlining! Here I used, the no. 05 pen to outline the flowers. It gives it that added pop!
Fold down the top about a half an inch.
Cut your string to the desired length and tie a knot. Place the string under the folded top.
Make a line of adhesive glue along the folded edges and close.
Viola! You have the cutest handmade wall hanging banner to display in your home! Follow these steps to create any themed banner too.
