Happy summer!! It’s a great time of year to get crafty. So grab your Tombow Brush Pens, create this cheerful card and send someone sunshine!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Tombow Brush Pens (I’m using colors from the Citrus pack) * Paper (Mixed Media Paper is used here) * Tracing Printable (If you need it!) * Tombow Blender Pen
If using the tracing printable, a helpful tool is a light box. I’m using the Cricut BrightPad.
Step One
Using your light box, place your paper over the tracing printable. Center the design and use a piece of tape to secure your paper to help prevent it from moving around.
Depending on your skill level, you don’t have to use the tracing printable.
Step Two
Start lettering! I’m using brush pen no. 725 for the top line.
Tip: to create block letters with a brush tip- clean up the strokes & add weight by using the bullet tip.
For the word ‘sunshine’, let’s do something fun! Tombow Brush Pens are great for blending. When I think of the word sunshine, blends of yellow and orange come to mind!
To create blends, play around with it! First, put down the lighter color.
Add a darker orange on the top of the letter.
Use the clear blender pen to pull down the darker color to mix in with the lighter color.
Continue playing around with the orange hues and add in some yellow, to create a beautiful cheerful blend!
Do the same for the little sun!
Now, fold your card, grab an envelope and send it to a friend!
Happy Lettering!
