Decorative Easter Eggs are are so popular right now- probably because they are adorable and so fun to make! There are so many different ways to decorate them, including a watercolor technique with your
Here are 2 ways to create watercolor decorated eggs using your Tombow Brush Pens:
You will need:
Tombow Brush Pens * Blending Palette * water brush * spray mister * craft eggs
TECHNIQUE #1
Tombow Brush Pens make easy watercolor!
First, rub out color onto your blending palette. Be aware of how colors blend when deciding what colors to put next to each other. For example, you might now want to but red and green next to each other, as they don’t create a nice color blend.
Using the spray mister, spritz a bit of water onto the ink. (I love this part- it’s so pretty!)
Now the fun part. (I recommend putting a paper towel under the blending palette because this part can get a little messy.) Roll the egg around in the watercolor until it’s completely covered. Watch as the colors blend and create a really pretty design!
TECHNIQUE #2
For the 2nd technique, let’s trade in the spray mister for a water brush.
First, rub out the ink onto the blending palette. This time, you don’t need to be as mindful with what colors you put next to each other- they won’t be mixing. Using a water brush spread a bit of water out to pick up the ink.
Using the water brush, paint the egg. Blend the colors however you’d like. It looks so pretty when it’s dry!
Let the eggs dry and then display. These techniques are even great for kids!
