This month is National Letter Writing Month. And guess what? You don’t have to spend a lot of money to send happy mail!
Here are 4 easy DIY cards you can send out this month.
Rainbow stripes
This easy card is guaranteed to make your receipt smile! I mean, who doesn’t love rainbow colors?! To create this simple card, I used Tombow TwinTone Markers to create a line pattern across the card. Don’t have these Tombow pens? No problem- use whatever rainbow colored markers you have.
Have fun with the pattern! Make it on a slant like I did. Or straight across. Or vertical. Super easy and fun!
Then add some fun lettering over top!
Washi Tape
Washi tape is perfect for decorating cards (and envelopes!). It’s available in so many colors and designs. For this card, I created horizontal lines with the tape, leaving space for words. I used a Tombow Brush Pens To add some inspirational phrases in between.
Watercolor Card
This card is super fun! Here I used some Tombow Brush Pens, along with the Tombow blending palette and a water brush, to create a watercolor design. To do this: put color onto the blending palette with your pens. Using a water brush, pick up the color off the palette and create your design.
Then add some lettering over top!
Use Stickers
Remember how much fun stickers were when we were kids? Well they can still be fun! Stickers are an easy addition to cards. They are inexpensive, sold in tons of stores and come in just about any design imaginable. Here, I’m using stickers from Pipsticks. Use stickers to embellish lettering and create cute designs that would make anyone smile.
