Paper crafts and lettering together in one project? Yes please! And memory keeping? All go together so prefectly. May 6 is National Scrapbooking Day! I encourage you to grab some paper materials and lettering supplies and get crafty! I’ve partnered with Tombow USA to share with you an easy way to use your lettering supplies along with paper crafting, to preserve your precious memories.
First, you’ll need to gather your materials.
Here I’m using:
* Tombow Dual Brush Pens, the blending palette & spray mister, and MONO glue
* sticker embellishments and paper from Amy Tangerine
* paper from Die Cuts With A View
*scissors
*photo(s)
First, let’s create a watercolor background. It’s super easy with your Tombow brush pens, blending palette and spray mister. Simply, rub your colors onto the blending palette and spray with the mister. Place your paper over the wet ink to create a watercolor effect. Gently tap the paper with a paper towel to dry. Place the colors onto your paper wherever you’d like!
For mine, I placed the colors in the corners because I wanted to display my photo in the center.
Now, gather your other supplies. I choose a lighter color palette with pinks, browns and greens.
Cut the paper into fun shapes and place them in a pretty arrangement around the photo. I added a cute ‘sweet things’ sticker from Amy Tangerine in the corner.
Grab your brush pens again and letter a quote or phrase. For the word “forever” I lettered with the light pink first, added some darker pink at the bottom and blended up to create a pretty ombre look. I used the Monotwin to outline the letter to make it pop off the page.
And here ya go! You have a beautiful piece to add to your scrapbook.
Do you think this is something easy you’ll try?
Thanks to Tombow USA for partnering with me!
Happy Lettering,
