Pumpkins don’t always have to be orange or white! Add some fun to your fall decorating with a galaxy pumpkin. And it’s so easy to make!
Here’s what you’ll need:
* Tombow Brush Pen Galaxy Palette * Blending Palette * water brush * craft pumpkin * paper towel *
A few tips: Don’t have the galaxy palette? If you have the Tombow 96 set, then you have these colors. You’ll need brush pens no. 755, 725, 443, 555, 296, 676, 606, N55, N25.
Don’t have a blending palette? No problem. Any laminated, plastic surface will do! Including a ziplock bag or the case your brush pens come in.
Craft pumpkins can be found at any craft store. I picked up this little one at Michaels.
STEP 1:
Using the blending palette, rub on the colors you’d like to use. I’m using 725, 755, 443 & N25.
Tip: make sure to add some black to give that galaxy sky feel.
STEP 2:
Using your water brush, pick up the colors off the blending palette. Don’t be afraid to mix up the colors! They blend so beautifully!
Now start painting the pumpkin. Mix up the colors to give it the galaxy vibe! Layer the colors onto of each other, similar to how you would paint with watercolors. As you go along, you’ll start to see a beautiful watercolor look! Remember to add the black here and there!
Clean off your brush on the paper towel before picking up another color now and then.
Let it dry and viola! You have a gorgeous galaxy pumpkin.
I’d love to see how your pumpkin turns out! Snap a photo and share on Instagram. Don’t forget to tag
