Snail mail is the best mail isn’t it? I love sending and receiving letters through the mail. There’s something special about opening a letter or package addressed to you. We tend to focus on decorating the outside of the envelope which is the first part we see, but what about the inside? Opening the envelope and seeing a pretty pattern or message is such a great surprise! And guess what? Creating that surprise is so easy! I’ll show you how to create this simple envelope liner with my favorite Tombow supplies.
Here’s what you’ll need:
– free template: envelopeliner
-scissors
– envelope (A7 size)
** This liner fits an A7 (5×7) envelope **
First, print the free liner template and cut it out.
Using your Tombow Brush Pens, create a fun pattern all over the liner. Here, I’m going to create an “XOXO” lettering pattern with hearts and lines. There are so many fun ways to decorate the liner! Letter fun words, doodle cute things or even draw something to match a holiday, time of year or to match a special occasion. The possibilities are endless!
I used the Tombow MonoTwin Marker to outline the hearts. That’s one of my favorite markers for outlining! The black outline adds a bit of a pop of the heart design.
Now, insert the liner into the envelope. The liner is sized to fit down to the bottom of the envelope and will have some room at the top for the seal.
Gently folding down the top of the liner apply the Tombow Adhesive. I love this particular adhesive because it rolls out easily, your hands don’t get sticky and it really works!
And there you go! So easy right? So let’s make snail mail fun and pretty!
I would love to see what you create! Share yours on Instagram and tag # amandakammarada
